Ever wish a song would go on forever? Or what about shortening one thats too long? Or you wish a track would get noisy or would settle down? Pine Tree State Mind Control -- a noise project based in Maine, USA -- lets you shape your individualized programming via their new app / release "Transmission #12".

This release is NOT a random selection of pre-recorded tracks. Each track is created on the fly within the app, and it is extremely unlikely that you will ever hear the same one again. Yes, there will be common elements that youll hear in different tracks. However, since nobody complained about the sameness of drums/guitar/bass for decades, you probably wont complain either. YOU pick the song length. YOU choose how chaotic it is.

If youve heard Pine Tree State Mind Control in the past, you will recognize the sterile mud of PTSMCs sound. If you are a new listener, welcome!

Pine Tree State Mind Control uses subliminal messages and hypnosis techniques to create a happier, more productive society. The messages contained in this app will help you work harder, smile more often, and get the best out of your leisure time.

PTSMC is often categorized as industrial/noise. Weve shared stages with bands of many styles: dark ambient, harsh noise, power electronics, powernoise, EBM, doom metal, gabber, hipster rock, experimental, cybergoth, and [enter name of style that only you like]. Nobody dances. Everyone smiles. Even the bald power electronics guy with the GG Allin tattoo who just threw his microphone at you in the last set smiles.

We sincerely hope this output from PTSMC changes the way music is created and distributed. Dont chalk that down as hubris. We never challenged the egos of the artists through the years who have tried to tell YOU, the listener, what a good song is. Why leave it to them to shape what you hear? Consider this: Your favorite PTSMC track from this release is one that the members of PTSMC themselves have not heard. We defer to your preferences.

Operation note: Remember that this is not an instrument. We see many new users tapping the track selector every couple of seconds. This will start a new track, meaning the user is only hearing a couple of seconds of different tracks. This app is intended to be a press-once-listen-forever product. Also, since the tracks are created on-the-fly, pressing the same area twice will not restart the same track, but will give you a brand new track with that same feel. Enjoy!
